Friendly Visitor: The goal of the Friendly Visitor Volunteer Program is to reduce social isolation for those people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis living in long-term care facilities or in their own home. The Friendly Visitor volunteer provides support, increases awareness of community resources and engages residents in activities that are mutually satisfying. The volunteer is matched with an individual to achieve these objectives together. These activities could include the volunteer reading books aloud, playing cards, listening to music or a variety of other activities.
